Recaps are published online on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925-continuum-college\/negotiation-updates\">UW Labor Relations website.<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>SEIU 925- Continuum College Initial Proposals<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Article \u2013 Layoff. Seniority, Rehire<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Union proposed an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925-ihme\/contract#article-41-layoff-seniority-rehire\">SEIU 925 \u2013 IHME<\/a> contract. The Union proposed language from SEIU 925 Libraries that when a layoff is required, the Employer may also consider position specific specialized skills, duties and\/or responsibilities and employee specific specialized skills.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article \u2013 Mandatory Subjects<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Union proposed an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925\/contract#article-40-mandatory-subject\">SEIU 925 <\/a>contract. The Union also proposed new language around work outside the scope of their job classification, excessive workload, and inequitable distribution of work projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article \u2013 Overtime <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In response to the Employer, the Union proposed to add new language that overtime requests would be approved by the Employer through a standardized process established by HR and would be clearly communicated and accessible to all employees. The Union proposed that if an overtime-eligible employee requests compensatory time in lieu of overtime it would be approved. The Union proposed language that overtime exempt employees who have been directed to work an excessive amount of hours for an extended period of time, may be approved by Continuum Human Resources for overtime in the form of compensatory time or cash.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>UW &#8211; Initial Proposals<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Article \u2013 Duration<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Employer proposed a contract duration of three years with holds for the dates once they are agreed to.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article \u2013 No Strike\/Lockout<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Union proposed an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925\/contract#article-50-no-strike-lockout\">SEIU 925 <\/a>\u00a0contract.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>UW &#8211; Counter Proposals<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><strong>Article \u2013 Union Activities, Rights, and Stewards<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In response to the Union, the Employer proposed that all requests for information would clearly identify what information is being sought and include the reason for the request. Requests would not normally extend more than twenty-four (24) months prior to the date of the request.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Tentative Agreements<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Article- Contract Distribution <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The parties agreed to an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925-ihme\/contract#article-52-contract-distribution\">SEIU 925 \u2013 IHME<\/a> contract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article- Privacy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The parties agreed to an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925-ihme\/contract#article-47-privacy\">SEIU 925 \u2013 IHME<\/a> contract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article \u2013 Subordination of Agreement and Savings Clause<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The parties agreed to an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925-ihme\/contract#article-55-subordination-of-agreement-and-savings-clause\">SEIU 925 \u2013 IHME<\/a> contract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article \u2013 Tuition Exemption Program<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The parties agreed to an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925-ihme\/contract#article-49-tuition-exemption-program\">SEIU 925 \u2013 IHME<\/a> contract.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article \u2013 Union Membership, Dues Deduction, and Status Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The parties agreed to an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the 2025-2027 <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925\/contract#article-56-union-membership-dues-deduction-and-status-reports\">SEIU 925<\/a> contract. Edits were made to better align the rosters language with what is currently provided to the Union after each pay period.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article \u2013 Health Care Benefits Amounts<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The parties agreed to an article that matches much of the same language from the similar article in the 2025-2027 <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925\/contract#article-46-health-care-benefits-amounts\">SEIU 925<\/a> contract.
