Recaps are published online on the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/academic-and-student-unions\/seiu-925-libraries\/negotiation-updates\">UW Labor Relations website.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tentative Agreement<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The parties tentatively agreed to language also found in the current <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/seiu-925\/contract\">SEIU 925 CBA<\/a> in the following articles, with minor edits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Article \u2013 Employee Rights <\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Housekeeping edits only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Article \u2013 Federal Family Medical Leave Act<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Housekeeping edits only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Article \u2013 Health Care Benefits Amounts<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Housekeeping edits only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Article \u2013 Mandatory Subjects<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>New language includes paid release time for up to three employee representatives for meetings or negotiations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Article \u2013 Non-Discrimination<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Added language to nondiscrimination for citizenship<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Article \u2013 Reasonable Accommodation of Employees with Disabilities<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Housekeeping edits only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Article \u2013 Union Recognition<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Added the clarification that 41.56 refers to the RCW and the appendix is for UW Libraries, UW Press and the Gallagher Law Library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Article \u2013 WA Paid Family and Medical Leave Program<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Housekeeping edits only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Union Initial Proposals<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Contracting <\/strong>\u2013 The Union\u2019s initial proposal is based off the main SEIU 925 CBA, with some updates. The proposal included additional language with the option of a request to meet and bargain over the effect of contracting in addition to it being an appropriate agenda item for Joint Union Management Committee meetings.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Employee Assistance Program <\/strong>\u2013 The Union\u2019s initial proposal is based off the main SEIU 925 CBA. The proposal included an Employer supported Employee Assistance Program which is current practice.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Personal Services <\/strong>\u2013 The Union\u2019s initial proposal is based off the main SEIU 925 CBA.
