Recaps are published online on the <a href=\"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/labor\/staff-unions\/wsna-montlake\/negotiation-updates\">UW Labor Relations website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h4>Tentative Agreements<\/h4>\n<p>The parties tentatively agreed to the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 3 \u2013 Affirmative Action<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Added reference to the corresponding University Executive Order<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Article 15 \u2013 \u00a0Sick Time Off<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Housekeeping edits only, including change the term \u201cleave\u201d to \u201ctime off\u201d to reflect UW terminology<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Article 17 \u2013\u00a0 Employer Facilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintained current contract language<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Article 22 \u2013 Workers\u2019 Compensation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eliminated language such that employees who suffer a work-related injury or illness that is compensable under the state worker\u2019s compensation law may select time loss compensation exclusively or a combination of leave payment and time loss compensation, without any restriction (e.g. no longer deducting time loss insurance payments).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Appendix III \u2013\u00a0 Clinical Clusters Pertaining to Layoff Article 20<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Housekeeping edits only<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Next Steps <\/h4>\n<p>The next UW and WSNA bargaining session is scheduled for June 8 and will be held virtually.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Background This recap details the fifth virtual session for the renewal of the collective bargaining agreement between the UW and Washington State Nurses Association.
