{"id":5620,"date":"2024-03-26T16:53:47","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T23:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=5620"},"modified":"2025-05-05T15:24:32","modified_gmt":"2025-05-05T22:24:32","slug":"carpet-cleaner","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/comp\/classified-staff\/carpet-cleaner\/","title":{"rendered":"Carpet Cleaner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18536 (NE S WFSE Campuswide)<br \/>\n22664 (NE H NI WFSE Campuswide)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clean carpets by operating a mobile, truck-mounted steam extractor and other power equipment.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Single class &#8212; no series.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Clean carpets using truck-mounted steam extractors and other power equipment;<\/p>\n<p>Maintain activity log;<br \/>\nSchedule areas for cleaning as needed;<br \/>\nParticipate in periodic training in use of chemicals, other supplies, and in carpet and upholstery fabric cleaning;<br \/>\nMaintain inventory of equipment and products; submit reports on labor and material costs;<br \/>\nPerform minor mechanical maintenance on carpet cleaning equipment;<br \/>\nMay clean upholstery;<br \/>\nMay perform occasional custodial duties;<br \/>\nPerform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Six months&#8217; custodial experience. A valid Washington State Driver&#8217;s License may be required.
