HMC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18718 (NE S WFSE HMC)<br \/>\n22781 (NE H NI WFSE HMC)<\/p>\n<p><strong>CLASS SERIES CONCEPT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Performs duties in support of the operation of a clinical laboratory, such as conducting laboratory testing and preparation or set up of testing specimens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At a semi-technical level, perform simple laboratory testing and\/or prepare specimens for laboratory testing or set up specimens for laboratory testing as well as other laboratory work which supports the operation of a clinical laboratory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Under general supervision, perform simple and qualitative clinical laboratory tests and\/or prepare\/set up specimens for laboratory tests and other laboratory work in support of technologists, faculty and students.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Set up bacterial, fungal and viral cultures;
