{"id":4889,"date":"2024-03-06T12:35:45","date_gmt":"2024-03-06T20:35:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=4889"},"modified":"2025-05-22T14:11:57","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T21:11:57","slug":"painter-apprentice","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/comp\/classified-staff\/painter-apprentice\/","title":{"rendered":"Painter Apprentice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18854 (NE S WFSE Trades)<br \/>\n22846 (NE H NI WFSE Trades)<\/p>\n<p><strong>BASIC FUNCTION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform semi-skilled painting work of graduated complexity in the institution&#8217;s building, maintenance and alterations program in an on-the-job apprentice program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Apprentice class of series.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform various painting and related duties;<\/p>\n<p>Obtain, prepare and deliver materials to the job site and assist in application;<\/p>\n<p>Clean up and maintain shop areas, work sites and storage areas;<\/p>\n<p>Complete on-the-job and related academic painter trades training program requirements;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties and functions as specified in approved apprentice training program;<\/p>\n<p>May drive, load and unload service vehicles;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>High school diploma or GED certificate AND meet qualification standards approved by Washington State Apprenticeship Council.
