{"id":4511,"date":"2024-02-04T23:09:00","date_gmt":"2024-02-05T07:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hr.uw.edu\/comp\/?page_id=4511"},"modified":"2025-05-22T15:27:31","modified_gmt":"2025-05-22T22:27:31","slug":"roofer-lead","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/v1cypwr8vx2.c.updraftclone.com\/comp\/classified-staff\/roofer-lead\/","title":{"rendered":"Roofer Lead"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>UW CODE AND REPRESENTATIVE GROUP<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18863 (NE S WFSE Trades)<br \/>\n22855 (NE H NI WFSE Trades)<\/p>\n<p><strong>DEFINITION<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Lead and work with roofers to perform journey-level work.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Positions in this class are distinguished by the responsibility to assign and lead work at a project or job location, to instruct other assigned roofers to correct and specify methods, and to perform skilled work in the roofing trade.<\/p>\n<p><strong>TYPICAL WORK<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Perform all duties of a roofer;<\/p>\n<p>Lead assigned personnel in the performance of work;<\/p>\n<p>Assure adherence to safety rules, regulations, and precautions by assigned personnel;<\/p>\n<p>Develop preliminary cost estimates for repair and installation of roofs and structures adjacent or related to roofs;<\/p>\n<p>Develop methods and procedures followed by assigned personnel;<\/p>\n<p>May perform work in other trades;<\/p>\n<p>Perform related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>One year, full-time experience as a journey roofer or equivalent trade skill.
